This is "channeled" music, in the sense that it was inspired by a dream. In this dream, I was seated in a circle with alien beings who were singing some of the most beautiful music I had ever heard. For a moment, I left my body and they began to sing through me. Upon waking, I was overcome by an immense feeling of love and gratitude. It occurred to me that I could return to the feeling of openness in my heart that I had in the dream while composing music.

 

This process led to the creation of Hathor Immaterial. regardless of what aspect of the music I was working on, my heart was attuned to the feeling of love I felt in that dream. What resulted was 33 minutes of music that possessed two things that are very important to me. One being sounds that have other worldly characteristics. These serve to elevate the listening experience to something multidimensional. The second being something very human about it. Not all the sounds you will hear are perfectly beautiful or "angelic". It is the sound of a human trying to connect to something more immense and cosmic than oneself-and at times stumbling.
