I was talking to Dr. Shawn Centers of the Osteopathic Center for Children and Families in San Diego recently. The Center specialized in digestive problems of the newborn e.g. difficulty sucking or vomiting, the recurrent infections and allergic phenomena of infancy and childhood, the academic difficulties e.g. ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder); dyslexia; autism; scoliosis; malocclusion and behavioral inadequacies during the school years.
Many of her small patients are in pain and crying, which presents problems with her examination. In 2006 the Center purchased an InnerSoul Sound Table and Inner Sound Sound Chair for the clinic. She told me that she puts everyone of her patients on either the table or chair. It calms them and allows her to be able to examine them while they are in a calm state, among other benefits.
