Custom Vibroacoustic Music for Tables & Therapeutic Use
Chris Deuel creates custom vibroacoustic music (VAM) tracks specifically designed to be felt through vibroacoustic tables, not just heard. Each piece is composed with intentional low-frequency structure, musical flow, and harmonic pacing that supports relaxation, regulation, and deep somatic engagement.
These are purpose-built compositions optimized for vibroacoustic devices - especially Liquid Sound Tables - and adaptable for other vibroacoustic systems used in therapy, wellness, research, and creative installations.
Who This Is For
- Vibroacoustic therapists & clinics
- Wellness centers, spas, and float studios
- Researchers & educators
- Studios commissioning proprietary music
- Individuals seeking a personalized vibroacoustic experience
About the Composer
Chris Deuel has been composing vibroacoustic music for over 15 years. His work is created and tested on a Liquid Sound Table in his studio, ensuring that every composition translates physically through the body, not just through speakers or headphones.
Chris has created vibroacoustic music for StayTuned (formerly The Tune) for over eight years, supporting thousands of sessions on one of the most widely used commercial vibroacoustic platforms. He speaks on vibroacoustic music composition for the Vibroacoustic Therapy Master Class, contributed a chapter to Vibroacoustics - Harmonize Your Life with Sound, and has collaborated with therapists and studios internationally.
From Chris on composing for the body
When I’m writing for a sound table, I’m thinking about the body before I’m thinking about the ear.
In a typical listening setup, the lower frequencies you’d want to feel can’t really be felt without turning the volume up to a level that damages hearing. A vibroacoustic table changes that. Low frequencies are transmitted at safe listening levels and felt fully through the body, and the range the body can sense through touch extends to over 800 Hz, well beyond what we’d usually call low end.
The work becomes about finding an equilibrium between what’s felt and what’s heard, and composing into that space. I test every layer on my Liquid Sound Table while writing. A phrase that sounds beautiful in headphones doesn’t always translate to the body. A bass line that feels plain on speakers can become the foundation of the entire piece on the table.
I think of notes, rhythms, and chords as malleable containers for intent. That’s what I’m shaping when I compose vibroacoustic music. Not just sound, but a state the body can settle into.
— Chris
What Makes Custom VAM Music Different
Built for vibroacoustic transmission through the body, not just “listening music.”
Low end is shaped to transmit evenly and comfortably through tables and devices.
Musical flow supports settling, breath, and nervous system downshifting.
Composed and verified on a Liquid Sound Table, not only in a DAW.
Custom projects start with clarity: your device, your session use, your goals — then the music is built around what the body needs to feel.
The Custom Process
We discuss your goals, intended use, device type, session length, and creative direction.
Chris composes specifically for vibroacoustic transmission, balancing musicality with physical resonance.
Revisions are guided by how the music feels in the body — not just how it sounds in headphones.
Final tracks are delivered in high-quality formats suitable for professional vibroacoustic use.

Important Notes
- Custom music is licensed for the agreed-upon use.
- Turnaround times vary based on project scope.
- Tracks are composed for vibroacoustic transmission and may not behave like conventional music on standard speakers.
